Ajay Jadeja slammed the Indian team for not giving chance to Rahul Tripathi and Rajat Patidar in ODIs.

Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja called for Rahul Tripathi and Rajat Patidar’s inclusion in Team India’s playing XI for the third and final ODI against Bangladesh to be played on December 10 in Chattogram.

The Indian cricket team has already lost the ODI series after losing the first two ODIs, which was their second consecutive series loss in Bangladesh. So, the final ODI will just be a formality for both teams, and they would like to try the benched players on Friday in Chattogram.

As the Indian team management can give chances to some of the youngsters waiting in the wings in the final ODI against Bangladesh, Jadeja said that Tripathi and Patidar should be given chances in Chattogram while questioning why they are in queue for their chances if they were selected for the series.

Ajay Jadeja said during a discussion on Sony Sports: “I’m Tripathi's huge fan because he has come in after putting the hard yards but the way I saw Patidar playing, there is a time for a youngster when he is playing well and has come through extremely good form. It will be unfair to drop anyone but when the merry-go-round is going, why do you want these two players standing in the queue?”

The former cricketer also believes that the final ODI might be the last chance for both Tripathi and Patidar to get a game for India. He explained the reason behind his take by saying: “When you are playing everyone and want to give only one match and check, this is probably the last chance, they might not be there on the next tour.”
