Haris Rauf, a bowler for Pakistan, repeatedly violated the boundary between politics and cricket during Sunday's Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 match against India in Dubai.
The Pakistani squad has been trying to take advantage of any chance to turn the war against India into a cricket match. Haris even made a "6-0 gesture" during the game, implying that during the military confrontation following Operation Sindoor, Pakistan shot down six Indian fighter jets—an unsubstantiated assertion that was spread by Pakistani media.
Since the game ended, Rauf's antics throughout the match have drawn a lot of criticism on social media. His 'fight jet crashing and 6-0' gesture for Indian supporters first enraged social media.
Another video has now surfaced in which Rauf is seen doing an airplane 'Rafale' motion in celebration after dismissing India batter Sanju Samson's dismissal during the Super 4 match.
Rauf clean bowled Samson in the 17th over after he had scored 13 runs and lasted for 17 deliveries during the match. A fan in the stands took the footage, which started a new online controversy.
