After a 2-1 series loss in ODIs, the Indian team will now face Australia in a series of five T20I matches starting in Canberra on October 29. Captained by Suryakumar Yadav, the reigning T20 World Champions will see Shubman Gill donning the vice-captain’s hat.

Gill’s form has been in question, as he didn’t have a very good ODI series down under and had a barely decent Asia Cup T20 tournament in the UAE some time back.

However, his opening partner, Abhishek Sharma, rose to huge fame in the Asia Cup, scoring 314 runs in the tournament with a strike rate of 200 and winning the Player of the Tournament. He will open the innings for India with Shubman Gill, his childhood friend.

And their friendship showed when Abhishek teased Shubman during the pre-series photoshoot. Abhishek was heard making light of Gill's look throughout the filming, claiming he had never seen someone open their mouth so wide.

In the video, Gill strikes a joyful pose while Abhishek continues to taunt him while filming the scene off-camera.
