Indian stalwart Virat Kohli pulled off a sharp catch to dismiss Australia’s Matthew Short in the ongoing third ODI between two teams at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Facing Washington Sundar during the 23rd over, Short played a powerful sweep shot and it appeared that the ball will race away to the boundary. However, Kohli, standing close at square leg, instinctively moved his head away from the line of the ball, spotted it mid-air, and completed a stunning reflex catch.
Kohli’s brilliance on the field led to the dismissal of ominous-looking Matthew Short for 30 off 41 balls.

Virat Kohli will be keen to make a mark with the bat as well. He is yet to open his account in the ongoing ODI series against Australia.
Kohli bagged an eight-ball duck in the series opener at Perth on October 19, perishing against Mitchell Starc while chasing a big drive away from his body.
The star batter endured another failure in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval on October 23. He was trapped in front of the wicket for a four-ball duck by Xavier Bartlett. This was the first instance of Kohli being dismissed for back-to-back ducks in ODIs.
