Indian stalwart Virat Kohli’s abysmal run of form continued in the ongoing ODI series against Australia as he was dismissed for a four-ball duck in the second match at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday (October 23).
Coming into the game on the back of an eight-ball duck in the series opener, Kohli failed to open his account yet again. He was trapped in front of the wicket by rookie pacer Xavier Bartlett during the seventh over of India’s innings.
The ball swung in from a length and caught Kohli at the crease. The veteran batter tried to flick, but got beaten on the inside edge as the umpire immediately raised his finger.
Kohli decided against reviewing the on-field call and ball-tracker also confirmed that the ball was going to hit the middle of middle stump.
While walking back to the pavilion, Virat Kohli acknowledged the crowd by raising his gloves, probably hinting that it was his last appearance at the iconic Adelaide Oval.
