Recently, a photo of Virat Kohli signing a Pakistan team shirt in Perth went viral on social media. Virat Kohli, along with Rohit Sharma, will make their India team in the Australia ODIs that begin in Perth on October 19.
Kohli last played for India in the Champions Trophy 2025 in March in Dubai, where he scored a century against Pakistan and 84 against Australia in the semi-final. Since then, Kohli has moved to London with his family after winning the IPL 2025 with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Meanwhile, an X account shared a photo showing Kohli signing a Pakistani team jersey with the caption "Virat Kohli spotted giving autographs to a Pakistani fan in Perth, Australia."
However, multiple accounts on X debunked this post, sharing the original video in which Kohli is seen signing an RCB jersey for a fan.
In the original video, Kohli exits the hotel, puts on his cricket uniform in the team bus, and approaches a fan holding a Royal Challengers Bengaluru jersey for him to sign. The ex-RCB captain then signs the jersey before continuing to sign more similar jerseys.

As per ESPNCricinfo, Kohli batted in nets for 40 minutes and mostly faced back-of-a-length bowling from Rana, Arshdeep, and several local bowlers. There were a few uncomfortable moments, but Kohli appeared to be at ease as he prepared for a likely lively surface in an ODI game slated to be played in moist weather, a stark contrast to the sunshine that greeted India in Perth. Kohli's agility impressed as he attempted to get inside the ball's line, with Rana, in particular, bowling with zip.
