Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant gave a resounding answer to the critics and scored a hundred at the SCG ground. Having walked in to bat after India lost Hanuma Vihari on the second day, Pant put up a partnership with centurion Cheteshwar Pujara (193) of 89 runs and then with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja (81) added 204 runs for the 7th wicket.
The Delhi batsman remained unbeaten on a score of 159* and was praised by the fans for his stupendous knock which included 15 fours and one six.
Not only the fans on social media were excited and delighted by Pant's innings, but even the group of Indian fans present at the venue also were happy and they expressed it in a different way.
Bharat Army, the famous group of Indian fans who travel all over the world to support team India, sang a song for Pant after he reached his maiden Test hundred in Australia in just 137 deliveries.
