India’s Brisbane Test hero, Rishabh Pant, replies to the former South African skipper, AB de Villiers' tweet praising him for his heroics in the fourth Test-match at Brisbane.

Chasing a mammoth target of 324 on the last day of the fourth Test-match at Gabba, India was in a spot of bother as they found themselves at 167/3. Being promoted up the order, Rishabh Pant showed a lot of maturity in his innings of 89* runs and took India home.

Rishabh Pant’s powerful and aggressive strokeplay innings of unbeaten 89 off 138 balls earned him the Player of the Match award. His sensational innings impressed the entire cricket fraternity as they were full of praises for a 23-year-old wicket-keeper batsman.

Among the many praisers was South African batting wizard AB de Villiers who congratulated and lauded the Indian team on the historic win and also heaped praise on Rishabh Pant for his fantastic innings.

He also pointed out the number 17, given that both players wear it on the back of their jerseys.

“What a Test match! The depth of Indian Cricket is scary. @RishabhPant17, sweet number 17. Well played young man. #testcricket at its very best,” Tweeted AB de Villiers.

Replying to the praise by former South African sensation, AB de Villiers, the Indian wicket-keeper thanked the South African and said he is always learning from the best (referring to de Villiers).

“Always learning from the best. Thank you Mr 360, ABD. See you at the IPL.  #17,” Rishabh Pant replied.
