Australian captain Tim Paine’s eagerness of wanting to play against R Ashwin at The Gabba was well fed into the minds of the Indian fans when the latter gave a quick reply to the Australian captain during their mid-pitch interaction on the final day of the Sydney Test.
However, he was not the only one who bore the brunt of it. The Instagram account of London-based Tim Payne, who has nothing to do with cricket or Australia, was spammed by Indian fans brutally.
People have commented on a lot of his posts and have left derogatory messages to the man.
Payne shared a few of those on his Instagram stories saying, “The Indian cricket fans need to allow me thinking I'm the Australian cricket captain 'Tim Paine'. As IG has mistaken me for him and he doesn't seem to have socials I receive all the backlash for his antics against India.
Over 600+ message requests and constant spam on comments of my photos. Some very interesting ones”

Payne showed spirited sense of humor, as evident from his latest Instagram post, where he cropped his face on the picture of the actual Australian captain Tim Paine and captioned it, “Plot twist”.
