Rishabh Pant hit the winning runs at the Gabba in Brisbane to complete one of the toughest Test series victories for Team India in their history. The low point in Adelaide and the long list of injured players was something that the team managed to overcome and made everyone around the world take notice.
Wishes and congratulatory messages flew in from around the world as the Indians celebrated their final day in Australia with the widest of smiles on their faces. Among the people appreciating the Asian giants were former Pakistan captains Shahid Afridi and Wasim Akram, who have played as arch-rivals of the Indian side and that explains the importance of this victory.
Shahid Afridi wrote from his Twitter account, "Incredible performance India! Despite so many injuries and setbacks India have pulled off an astonishing series win. Congratulations to Indian team, this series will be remembered for a long time."
