A bruised and battered Team India earned a hard-fought draw on Day 5 of the third Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground and received praises from all around the world including the opposition.
India was battling multiple injuries to its players, with Rishabh Pant being hit on his left elbow, and Ravindra Jadeja breaking his left thumb. Hanuma Vihari tore his hamstring while batting, but carried on valiantly, while R Ashwin battled bad back to stay out there and battled for his team.
However, the BCCI President, Rajeev Shukla didn't seem to be content with the way the team played and earned a brilliant draw in the end.
He tweeted no positive message on India's hard-earned result in SCG but instead posted a message complaining about the 'lackluster' performance from the Indian middle order.
Shukla wrote, "Actually the middle order could have performed a little better and we would have won the match. @BCCI"

This obviously didn't go down well with the fans and they slammed him on Twitter for the comment.
Here are a few of the comments:
Why politicians appointment as cricket administrators will lower the performance of indian cricket is symbolised by such statements.

Rajivji you can’t be serious. This is the best we have seen them perform in a long time.

Outrageous comment, when while India is appreciating the grit and resilience shown by the players. Yes there was a chance for India to win, if Pujara batted for 10 more overs, Pant batted for 30 more mins, Vihari dint Injure is Hamstring. Above all, could’ve been all out rushing
