The ongoing Border-Gavaskar Test series between India and Australia has been fought well on the field but has had a lot of off-the-field issues along with it as well.

In the latest piece of controversy, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting has claimed that the Indian players are trying to find reasons to not play in Brisbane, where the fourth and final Test of the series is scheduled.

He slammed the Indian players with the point that they didn't have any complaints of quarantines or lockdowns during the IPL. He also stated the fact that the Australians have stayed in the bubble for a longer period than the Indians.

Ricky Ponting told Seven Network, "Get on with it. It looks like they are trying to find an excuse not to go to Brisbane. You have signed up for the tour to play the Test matches. It's not ideal for anyone, or the Australians if they go to Brisbane (to be) locked down in a hotel."

Brisbane has been a venue very dear to the Australian team, as they are yet to lose a Test match there since 1988.

"The Australians have actually been in a bubble longer than the Indians have. We didn't hear anything about these Indian players worrying about quarantines or lockdowns in the middle of the IPL, did we?" he questioned.

The BCCI has asked Cricket Australia (CA) to arrange flights for Team India from Brisbane right after the fourth Test is over. They want CA to arrange the first flight back for the Indians. The fourth Test is scheduled to begin on Friday, January 15.
