Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri has praised captain Virat Kohli's achievements against Australia. The Kohli-led team managed to defeat Australia in a Test series both at home and away.
Shastri believes India won't get to see the feat repeated by another captain for a very long time. India had defeated Australia 2-1 at home in 2016-17. In 2018-19, they succeeded in winning India's first-ever Test series on Australian soil by 2-1.
"The satisfaction gained in registering India's first series win in Australia after 71 years of heartbreak was immense," Shastri said in the book titled 'India's 71-Year Test: The Journey to Triumph in Australia', as per cricket.com.au's reports.
"I cannot see Virat's feat of winning against Australia both at home and away being emulated by another Indian captain for a very long time," he added.

Shastri was the head coach when India crushed Australia in their home. He said the current Indian team deserves respect for the well-earned series win Down Under.
"The great thing about success in Australia is that it does not come easily. As a professional sportsperson, you know that when you win the hard way, you command respect," Shastri said.
"Indian teams have done well in Australia since the turn of the (21st) century but did not have the depth of fast-bowling resources. That is why this Indian team commanded respect from the hard-to-please Aussies like few others in the past," he added.
In the ongoing series, India have managed to level the scoreline after a win in the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground. They are led by Ajinkya Rahane in the absence of Virat Kohli, who's on paternity leave after the first match.
