AUS v IND 2020-21: "Good people finish first too," Sourav Ganguly praises captain Ajinkya Rahane

Ganguly posted a tweet on India's win after the Boxing Day Test at MCG.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly applauded Team India's effort to beat Australia in the Boxing Day Test. India won the match by 8 wickets on the fourth day of the second Test at the MCG.

Ganguly praised stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane in his post on Twitter and said good people finish first too. The win has ensured India remains in the fight for the series win.

"A special win at MCG ..India loves playing here ..well done Ajinkya rahane @ajinkyarahane88 ..good people finish first too.. congratulations to all.. @imjadeja @ashwinravi99. best of luck for the next 2 games," he tweeted.

Rahane scored his 12th Test hundred in the match to help India take a lead in the first innings. The rest of the job was done by the India bowlers who bundled out Australia on the score of 195 and 200 in the two innings. 

India needed just 70 runs to win the match and skipper Rahane took the team over the line along with debutant Shubman Gill.
