India skipper Virat Kohli wouldn't want to remember the year 2020 as a batsman. He couldn't reach the three figures in the entire year after playing 9 ODIs, 3 Tests, and 10 T20Is.

Kohli won't be playing after the first Test in Australia, as he will head back home for the birth of his first child. The 32-year-old got out on just four runs in the second innings of the pink-ball Test at Adelaide.

It felt like Virat will reach a hundred in the first innings before getting run-out on 74 runs. He had a mix-up with Ajinkya Rahane which cost him his wicket.

Apart from international cricket, even in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Kohli managed to get 3 fifties but no hundred. His highest score was 90 not-out in 15 matches.

The birth of Kohli's first child is due in January 2021 and he will leave the team after the first Test. The opening Test lasted only two and half days after India were bowled out for just 36 runs in the second innings.
