AUS v IND 2020-21: Shikhar Dhawan wishes good luck to Team India for the pink-ball Test

Dhawan lost his place in Test team after the poor England series in 2018.

Shikhar Dhawan wished good luck to the Indian cricket team for the first Day-Night Test against Australia being played at the Adelaide Oval from Thursday (December 17).

The left-handed opening batsman took to Twitter to convey his thoughts to Team India for the ongoing pink-ball Test against Australia, saying he is looking forward to the exciting contest between the world’s top two powerhouses in Adelaide under the lights.

Dhawan wrote on Twitter on Thursday: “Good luck to #TeamIndia for the Pink Ball Test! Backing the boys out there and looking forward to an exciting game of cricket.”

Since he is not a part of India’s Test squad, Dhawan returned back to home with the white-ball squad recently after the Men in Blue won the T20I series 2-1 following a 1-2 ODI series defeat against Australia.

Notably, Dhawan scored 201 runs including two-fifties in the limited-overs series against Australia.

Meanwhile, India chose to bat first after winning the toss in the opening Test of the four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia – who have opted for three seamers Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and experienced spinner Nathan Lyon in the first pink-ball Test.

Well, the hosts started off the Test campaign in a style as India lost their 3 wickets for just 100 runs inside 50 overs on the opening day of the Day-Night Test in Adelaide with the tourists batting on 122/3.
