Indian skipper, Virat Kohli had an open chat with Australian star Steve Smith ahead of the first Test in Adelaide of the 2020-21 Border Gavaskar Trophy. The duo discussed a lot of topics about their life, childhood, cricket among others.
The chat was conducted in a Q&A manner where one was asking questions to the other with the help of cue cards and this is when Smith asked Kohli about his favorite knock so far.
Virat Kohli labeled his knock against Australia in Mohali as his favourite knock. It was a group stage match of the 2016 T20 World Cup and India needed 161 runs to win the match and qualify for the semi-finals.
When Yuvraj Singh got out, India needed 67 runs off the last 6 overs and that is when Kohli showed his masterclass to the world. He was batting on 35 off 30 balls at that moment and took his side over the line with 5 balls to spare.

He finished unbeaten on 82 off 51 balls as MS Dhoni hit the winning runs. He felt special to win the game for India from the situation where it looked almost impossible. He went into a trance and didn't know what was happening.
Kohli told Smith during the chat, "My 183 against Pakistan is special as we chased it down against Pakistan bowlers, I felt 'hold on it is going somewhere where I wanted to go' but you (Smith) might not like it and I wanted to point out, my most favorite is that T20 we played in Mohali."
"I don't know literally, I went into a trance mode you feel like things are becoming difficult. I still don't understand how it happened to date. And it was like everything I was hitting was going into the gaps and I just went into the zone that I couldn't breakdown after, that was so special. You're under pressure and everything is coming off," he added.
