The pink-ball D/N warmup match between Indians and Australia A ended up in a draw on the final day, with the hosts ending up on 307/4 in chase of the 473-run target.
In their chase, Australia A lost openers Marcus Harris and Joe Burns for single-digit scores to Mohammad Shami. Burns now has scores of 4,0,0 and 1 in four innings of the two warm-up matches, which has put his place in the Australia XI for the first Test in Adelaide against India in danger.
Nic Maddinson made 14 before falling to Siraj and Alex Carey made 58 before Hanuma Vihari scalped his wicket.
However, the day belonged to Ben McDermott and Jack Wildermuth, both of whom scored unbeaten centuries and added 165 runs for the 5th wicket. McDermott ended with 107* in 167 balls with 17 fours, while Wildermuth was much more adventurous, making 111* in 119 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes.
The players fist-bumped as the mandatory 15 overs were about to begin, bringing an end to an interesting match.
Before this, India had batted first after winning the toss and put up 194 in the first innings, with Jasprit Bumrah making 55* and Sean Abbott and Jack Wildermuth picking three wickets each.
In reply, Mohammad Shami (3/29), Navdeep Saini (3/19), and Jasprit Bumrah (2/33) routed Australia A for 108 runs in their first innings.
Then India piled on 386/4d with Hanuma Vihari making 104* and Rishabh Pant smacking 103* off 73 balls with 6 sixes and 9 fours. Pant smashed 22 runs in the last over of the second day to bring up his century.
