AUS v IND 2020-21: "Exhibiting qualities of a leader" Laxman impressed with Hardik's gesture for Natarajan

Former India cricketer VVS Laxman praised Hardik Pandya for handing over his Man of the Series award to T Natarajan. Natarajan bagged six wickets in the T20I series which was the most by any bowler.

Laxman was impressed with Hardik's gesture for the newcomer. He lauded him on Twitter for the leadership quality and wrote, "Excellent gesture from @hardikpandya7 Great to see him exhibiting qualities of a leader."

Natarajan was one of the contenders to be Man of the Series for his terrific bowling. Apart from picking up wickets, he also restricted runs.

"Also feel very happy for @Natarajan_91. I have no doubt Nattu will continue to work hard and show improvement and progress in his craft. Good luck," Laxman added in the tweet.

Pandya had spoken about the gesture to ANI after the match. He wanted to appreciate the struggle of Natarajan and felt the 29-year-old deserved the award.

"I want people to believe in themselves and to achieve anything even if odds are against them. It's just my way of appreciating his hard work over the years. For me, Natrajan deserves the Man of the Series award. To perform so brilliantly on his debut speaks volumes of his belief and the talent he possesses," Hardik said.
