India batsman Sanju Samson failed to make the opportunities count in the T20I series against Australia.
While India won the T20I series 2-1, Samson registered scores of 23, 15 and 10 from three games and couldn’t take the team over the line on two occasions.

Reflecting on his performance, veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said Samson has the potential to be the future of Indian cricket if he learns from his mistakes and grabs the opportunities.
"Sanju has got the opportunity to bat at No.4. He is still on his first or second tour, he will learn. We know that he has got the potential and India won the series," Harbhajan told India Today.
"These guys will be the future of Indian cricket. You know if they will not mistakes, they will not learn. I am sure Sanju Samson with the quality he has, is gonna learn and get better from here.
"If he will not learn obviously someone else will come and take that slot. Because no.4 is a very important slot. If you have got the opportunity, you have to seal it. If not on this tour but next tour, you have to come better prepared and make sure you make it count," he added.
Having made his international debut in 2015, Sanju Samson has represented India in 7 T20Is so far, amassing only 83 runs at an average of 11.85.
