Cricketer-turned-commentator Murali Kartik was criticized for unsatisfactory commentary in the ongoing T20I series between India and Australia. A Twitter user wasn't happy with Kartik's lack of research before coming to the commentary box.

Kartik was surprised over the exclusion of Alex Carey from Australia's playing XI, although the wicket-keeper batsman was dropped from the matches in the previous series as well.

The Twitter user pointed out that it shouldn't be a shock to anyone who has done a bit of research. He also mentioned Kartik's co-commentator Glenn McGrath's comment which was questionable too.

The ex-India cricketer engaged in a conversation before he came up with a poor response. After exchanging few tweets, explaining his comment, and ensuring the commentators do research, Kartik told the Twitter user to mute his commentary if he doesn't like it.

Kartik was told that he should add value to the viewer's experience with better questions, which he didn't take well.

Fans have often criticized the on-air commentators for taking their job lightly. Recently, Adam Gilchrist was slammed for a gaffe. He had mistakenly offered condolence on the passing of Navdeep Saini's father instead of Mohammad Siraj.

Even last year a Twitter user had asked BCCI president Sourav Ganguly to sack Kartik.
