Australia have drafted veteran spinner Nathan Lyon to their squad for the remaining T20I series against India, while Cameron Green has been released to play for Australia ‘A’ in their three-day practice match versus India ‘A’, starting December 6.

Lyon has been added to the national squad for the final two matches after Ashton Agar was ruled out of the series with a calf injury.
It is worth mentioning here that Lyon has not represented Australia in the shortest format since October 2018 and has featured in just two T20Is despite holding the record for most Test wickets by an Australian off-spinner.
Earlier, Mitchell Swepson was brought in as cover for Ashton Agar and he appeared in the T20I series opener against India on Friday (December 4), returning with figures of 1/21 in the two overs that he bowled.
Meanwhile, skipper Aaron Finch is awaiting scan results after he sustained an injury to his hip during Australia’s 11-run defeat at the hands of India in the first T20I at Canberra.
Trailing 0-1 in the T20I series, the hosts will look to bounce back in order to stay alive in the three-match series when they face India in the second game at SCG on Sunday (December 6).
