India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored his 13th ODI half-century at an important time against Australia. After his unbeaten 66-run knock, which ended on the winning side, he talked about MS Dhoni's batting style in a pressure situation.

When Jadeja walked in to bat, India was struggling at 152/5 and he followed Dhoni's pattern of batting. The ex-India captain has often saved his team from such situations.

Jadeja, having played alongside Dhoni for India and Chennai Super Kings, adapted the style to play a crucial inning.

"Mahi bhai has played so much cricket for India and Chennai (CSK). He always had a set pattern. He would go in and look to build a partnership with the batsman. He always used to let himself set and look to play the big shots. He has played in such situations so many times,” Jadeja said in an interaction with Sony Sports Network after the match.

India scored 302/5 in the first innings after Jadeja and Hardik Pandya's unbeaten 150-run stand. They defended the target and won the third ODI by 13 runs.

Jadeja revealed Dhoni used to have a chat with him about the plan to build the innings and attack in the last few overs. “By looking at him and given the fact that I have batted with him so many times, he always used to tell me that if we can take it till the last then we can score a lot of runs in the final four-five overs,” Jadeja added.

“It was the same situation and that is what he tried to do today. Hardik and I were discussing that we can take a chance in the last few overs. The boundary was smaller on one side so that was the plan.”
