Australia consolidated their top spot in the ICC Super League points table after clinching the ODI series 2-1 over arch-rivals India.
The hosts dominated the proceedings in the two outings in Sydney, winning by 66 and 51 runs, respectively, to bag crucial 20 points from the series.

They had beaten England in their first series of the 13-team league in September with an identical 2-1 scoreline and had earned 20 points there as well.
The Indians, on other hand, pulled off a consolation win in the third and final one-dayer in Canberra on Wednesday (December 2) to get their first points on the board.
They are now placed sixth in the table with 9 points from 3 games, a one-run penalty imposed on them as per tournament rules due to a breach of over-rates regulation in the series.
The Australian team will be pleased to have gotten over the line against their two biggest opponents right at the beginning of what is a relatively tougher league campaign for them.
England (30), Pakistan (20), Zimbabwe (10) and Ireland (10) are second, third, fourth and fifth in the standings for the moment.
The ICC Super League will see 12 full members plus associates Netherlands play 24 ODIs, three per series, against eight other opponents till 2022, to determine seven direct qualification spots for the 2023 World Cup alongside hosts India.
Teams finishing bottom five in the competition will have to contest the global qualifier with top 5 associate nations in hope to square the last two World Cup spots.
