India captain Virat Kohli reached another milestone during the third ODI against Australia. He crossed 12,000 ODI runs in just 242 innings, which is the fastest by any batsmen.

Kohli took 58 innings less than Sachin Tendulkar to reach the milestone. Tendulkar took 300 innings to score 12,000 runs in ODI cricket. The cricket fraternity applauded Virat's achievement on Twitter.

Virat, the run-machine of the modern era, got out by Josh Hazlewood after scoring 63 in the third ODI. Praising Kohli, ex-England captain Michael Vaughan called him the best ever ODI batter in his view.
