Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has expressed his disappointment at the helpless performance by the Indian bowlers in the ongoing three-match One Day International (ODI) series in Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Navdeep Saini looked completely clueless in the recent both ODIs as the Australian team posted record totals of 374 and 389 respectively in the first and second ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

So far in the ongoing series, Australian batsmen completely dominated the Indian bowlers as they managed only 8 wickets in both ODIs, resulting in Team India has now lost the three-match ODI series 0-2 to the hosts with one game to go on Wednesday (2 December) in Canberra.

After India’s series defeat, Pathan has slammed the Indian bowlers, questioning their consistency levels on Sunday. However, he said the quality of the Indian bowlers is unquestionable.

He believes that the bowlers should have found the right lengths in Australia quickly, but instead, they could not even bowl in the proper areas so far in the series.

Pathan wrote on Twitter: “Quality of our Bowlers is unquestionable but consistency is. It was all about finding the right length in Australia that to quickly which hasn’t happened yet #AUSvIND”

Noteworthy, it is being said that the Indian can rest Burmrah and Shami for the final ODI as the left-arm fast bowler T Natarajan is likely to get his debut cap in Canberra on Wednesday.
