India youngster Navdeep Saini celebrated his 28th birthday with India cricket teammates in Australia. But Saini escaped a cake smash on his face because of COVID-19 protocols.

BCCI posted a picture of Saini's birthday celebration on Twitter. "Happy birthday once again @navdeepsaini96. Little???? to celebrate the big day. No cake smash this time.????", they wrote on Twitter.

Saini is part of the India squad for all three formats against Australia. The speedster will be vital for the Indian cricket team on the Australia tour as the pitches Down Under assist pacers.

The 28-year-old, who made his India debut in 2019, has played 5 ODI and 10 T20I matches for the Men in Blue, taking 5 and 13 wickets, respectively.
