Team India will be traveling to Australia for a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20I matches apart from the four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting from November 2020 and stretching into January of 2021.

The schedule of the series is yet to be finalized, but it has been confirmed that the Indian team will arrive and quarantine in Sydney. Cricket Australia received permission from the New South Wales government for the Indian team to practice during their 14-day quarantine.

The tour is scheduled to start in Sydney on November 26 with three T20s, followed by three ODIs in early December followed by the four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting with a day-night Test in Adelaide from December 17. The tour will end on January 19 with the final Test in Brisbane.

Given the current COVID-19 situation, the BCCI understood that they cannot be sending in replacements for any injuries like normally they used to do, and hence have picked an extended squad for the white-ball leg of the tour.

The new name in the limited-overs squad is that of Varun Chakravarthy, who is included in the T20I squad. Meanwhile, the BCCI medical team will continue to monitor the progress of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma’s injuries, hence they have not been named in any of the squads.

Apart from the below-mentioned players, four additional bowlers - Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kartik Tyagi, Ishan Porel, and T. Natarajan - will travel with the Indian contingent.

Hardik Pandya was picked in both the ODI and T20I squad, while KL Rahul was named the vice-captain of the team. He was also named as the sole wicketkeeper for the ODI side, which also sees Shubman Gill’s name. Sanju Samson has been named as the second keeper for the T20I side.

Here is the Team India squads for the T20Is and ODIs against Australia:

ODI squad: Virat Kohli (Capt), Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul (vc & wk), Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Agarwal, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur
