Ajmal also stated that India should come and play cricket in Pakistan.
Speaking to the media at an event, Ajmal stated that the ICC should suspend its operations if it is unable to make "unbiased and principled decisions in the overall interest of world cricket."
“If the ICC can’t enforce its decisions on the Indian board, then its very existence is unnecessary," he asserted at the launch of Pakistan Celebrity Cricket League in USA.
The ICC is currently led by former BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
According to Ajmal, the majority of Test-playing nations agreed with him but refused to express it openly. He cited the ICC's consent to India's reluctance to play in Pakistan, including in major championships, as clear evidence of the organization's "helplessness."
“There is no logical reason for India not to play in Pakistan, but the ICC is helpless because it is dominated by Indians now,” Ajmal stated.
India's refusal to travel to Pakistan is due to security fears and the Indian government's decision to outlaw bilateral sports between the two countries. As a result, India-Pakistan cricket is limited to ICC white-ball tournaments hosted at neutral locations.
Last year, bilateral ties between India and Pakistan deteriorated substantially following the Pahalgam terror assault, which resulted in a brief military clash.
