Chahar was named in the India squad for the 3 ODIs in Zimbabwe.
This led to him missing the entire IPL 2022 and then also missing the rest of the series that India played. He is now back in the mix after missing the action for more than five months and regaining full fitness.
Deepak will be part of the pace attack in the Zimbabwe ODI series later this month and has begun his preparations at the CSK academy in Chennai.
The Chennai Super Kings pacer was seen doing batting and bowling practice at the Super Kings Academy recently, and the video of it was also shared by the franchise’s official Twitter handle on Thursday (August 4).
Deepak can be seen bowling and focusing, especially on his batting. The right-arm medium pacer has made his name for being a handy batter down the order.

Meanwhile, Chahar is reportedly in the mix for the Asia Cup 2022 tournament for which the squad will be announced on August 8.
