WPL 2024: Jasprit Bumrah cheers on wife Sanjana Ganesan as she resumes broadcasting duties

The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) got underway with a grand opening ceremony followed by a thrilling encounter between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Friday, March 23, 2024.

The WPL 2024 opener was a complete entertainer for cricket fans, as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians kicked off the season with a 4-wicket win over the Delhi Capitals in a last-ball thriller at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Before the nail-biting encounter between MI and DC, Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, and Kartik Aaryan lit up the ground with their enthralling performances on Friday.

Meanwhile, Team India speedster Jasprit Bumrah was also happy with the grand start of the WPL 2024, as his wife Sanjana Ganesan resumed her broadcasting duties after the delivery of their first child, a baby boy, in September 2023.

Bumrah expressed admiration for his wife, Sanjana, who is currently involved as a member of the broadcasting panel for the ongoing WPL 2024. She is working alongside renowned figures such as Anjum Chopra, Mel Jones, and Natalie Germanos in the tournament.

The Indian pacer expressed joy after watching her partner excel in her role, describing her as "the best in the world" at what she does. He took to Instagram to share a picture of his wife Sanjana doing her job during the MI vs DC match in Bengaluru.

Bumrah captioned the Insta story: “So good @sanjanaganesan. The best in the world is back at work.”

Sanjana reshared the story and thanked her husband for being a rock through everything.
