India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken the cricketing world by storm with his stunning exploits in the ongoing Test series against England.

In the six innings so far, the southpaw has amassed 545 runs at an average of 109 and a strike rate of 81.10, including two double hundreds and a half-century.

As the cricket world goes ga-ga over his consistency, a video of Jaiswal has emerged on social media, in which the youngster referred to Team India captain, Rohit Sharma, admitting that he is 'afraid of him'.

In the clip going viral on social media, Yashasvi Jaiswal can be seen talking to a fangirl. When the girl requested Jaiswal to get her to speak to the player next to him, the 22-year-old declined by saying he is afraid of him.

Here's the video:

After suffering a 28-run defeat in the opening Test in Hyderabad, the Indian team was under pressure and Yashasvi Jaiswal helped the hosts bounce back with back-to-back double tons.

Jaiswal slammed 209 in India's first innings to lay the foundation for 106-run victory in the second Test at Vizag. The left-hander then hit an unbeaten 214 in the second innings of Rajkot Test to script India’s emphatic 434-run victory.

As a result, Jaiswal broke into the top-20 of the ICC Test batting rankings for the first time. He leapfrogged 14 spots to 15th in the batting chart.

Ahead of the fourth Test in Ranchi, India batter Shubman Gill lauded Yashasvi Jaiswal’s heroics that helped India take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

"Jaiswal has scored two double centuries in consecutive Tests. It takes a rare talent to come up with such performances. Not many Test players across the world can boast of such performances. He is a sensational player and the cricketing world is taking note of his talent now," Gill said at a pre-match press conference.
