Shreyas Iyer impressed one and all with his fielding effort.
On the first ball of the fifth over of West Indies’ innings, Nicholas Pooran came down the track and lofted a delivery from R Ashwin in the air.
Iyer, who was stationed at the deep mid-wicket fence, leaped acrobatically to his right to take the catch. Upon realizing that his right leg was going to land outside the fence, he threw the ball back into the playing area and the hosts had to settle for just two runs.

His phenomenal effort left the commentators in awe as the West Indies skipper was robbed of a certain six.

While Shreyas Iyer impressed one and all with his fielding, he failed to make a mark with the bat. The right-hander fell for a four-ball duck while batting at No. 3.
However, India registered a comprehensive 68-run victory in the match to take a 1-0 lead in the five-T20I series. The second T20I will be played in St Kitts on Monday (August 1).
