Naqvi has held the Asia Cup trophy and medals hostage, asking India to visit Dubai to collect them.
Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), has been at the center of controversy since he walked away with the Asia Cup 2025 trophy after India refused to take it from him after the final versus Pakistan in Dubai.
According to later reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) even warned the ACC that Naqvi could face disciplinary action over the incident.
Naqvi stated that if the Indian team truly wants the trophy, they must personally collect it from him. While the dispute lingers a week after the Asia Cup final, a Pakistani reporter asked Naqvi about the trophy.
In a new video that has gone viral on social media, Naqvi is seen evading a reporter's question concerning the trophy's location. Naqvi was swarmed by onlookers and media as he skirted inquiries about the prize before finally getting into his car.
