Rohit Sharma was seen practicing with the Mumbai team in Wankhede Stadium.
India ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma is under enormous pressure to deliver after a disappointing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Rohit is still one of India's ODI veterans, and he will undoubtedly lead the team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Rohit scored only 31 runs in five innings during a terrible tour of Australia, which resulted in him dropping himself for the fifth Test in Sydney. India lost the series 3-1, and Rohit's future in cricket's longest format remains uncertain.
Despite the fact that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is over a month away, Rohit Sharma appears to be putting in the effort early. The 37-year-old recently practiced with the Mumbai squad in Wankhede Stadium ahead of their upcoming Ranji Trophy game, and he may even play the game himself.
Rohit, on the other hand, will continue to play an important role for Team India at the Champions Trophy. Rohit led India to the 2023 World Cup final, amassing 597 runs in 11 games with a strike rate of more than 125. He will be hoping for more of the same as India attempts to win a record third Champions Trophy title.
Rohit may also take part in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai, having hinted that his Test career is not yet over. Mumbai is set to face Jammu & Kashmir in the next round of the Ranji Trophy. While Rohit has not yet confirmed his eligibility for selection in the Ranji Team, he has decided to spend a few net sessions honing his abilities against the red ball.
A video has emerged showing Rohit Sharma working out at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. A fan shared a video of Rohit running and jogging on social media.
