India batter Shreyas Iyer talked about the Indian team captain Rohit Sharma’s hilarious way of communicating with his teammates. Rohit was named Men's International Cricketer of the Year at the CEAT International Cricket Awards.

Notably, the Indian captain is noted for his peculiar style of communication in which he tends to forget things and refers to them as 'this' and 'that', leaving the listener to infer what he means.

Virat Kohli, a star Indian batsman, famously disclosed Rohit's unusual tendency in an interview. Iyer recently discussed Rohit's unusual conversational approach, stating that they fill in the blanks and understand their captain's thoughts after playing with him for so many years.

We have to fill in the words. Woh, yeh, usko, isko. So these words are for us to fill. We just visualize, who and what it is that he is talking about. But we understand his feelings; we've been playing with him for so many years," Iyer said during the CEAT International Cricket Awards.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami praised Rohit's captaincy style, adding he allows everyone flexibility. However, the speedster also explained what occurs when someone fails to meet his expectations.

The best thing about Rohit Sharma is that he gives you freedom but if you don't live up to his expectations then the reactions we see on the screen, the ones we understand without him saying anything, start to come out," Shami said at the award function.
