During the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) clash between Fortune Barishal and Khulna Tigers, Malik bowled not one but three no-balls in a single over, leaving his teammates and captain disappointed.
During the league, Malik reached the milestone of becoming the first Asian player to score 13,000 runs in T20s. But more noise was made about his three no-balls during the said encounter.

Franchise skipper Tamim Iqbal decided to introduce Malik in the powerplay. Malik went on to bowl three no-balls in the over, conceding a total of 18 runs from the over. Courtesy of the expensive over from Malik, Khulna Tigers crossed the fifty-run mark in just four overs while chasing the target of 188.
But this act by Shoaib Malik led to fans questioning the cricketer’s intentions. Many felt that the no-balls were bowled deliberately, discreetly pointing towards fixing.
