Dhoni is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest cricketers ever.
On his special day, wishes poured in for the legendary Indian captain from different quarters. While there were social media posts showing Dhoni greeting his fans from the terrace of his home, what he exactly did on his birthday was a matter of curiosity.
However, Dhoni on Saturday (July 8) himself shared a glimpse of his birthday celebration by posting a video on Instagram.
In the video, Dhoni can be seen cutting his birthday cake while being surrounded by his pet dogs.
"Thanks a lot for all your warm wishes, a glimpse of what I did on my birthday," he wrote in the caption.
MS Dhoni’s achievement as a cricketer is surreal, to say the least. In particular, he etched his name in the history books as one of the finest captains.
Dhoni is the only skipper in the history of cricket to have won all three ICC white-ball trophies – 2007 World T20, 2011 Cricket World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. He also led India to the pinnacle in Test cricket.
While Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020, he continues to feature in the Indian Premier League for Chennai Super Kings. He recently captained CSK to a record-equalling fifth IPL title.
