Sultans qualified for PSL 2023 final after defeating Qalandars by 84 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Sultans had a decent start with 70/2 in 10 overs. But their innings got the much-needed impetus from Kieron Pollard, who made 57 in 34 balls with 6 sixes and 1 four to his name. Tim David also contributed 22* in 15 balls as the Sultans made 160/5 in 20 overs.
During this innings, Pollard was particularly severe on Qalandars’ captain Shaheen Afridi as in the 19th over, the left-arm pacer was smacked for three sixes by the burly West Indians as he collected 20 runs in the over.

The Pakistan pace spearhead was not too happy about that and in a viral video, he can be seen mouthing some words to Kieron Pollard, to which Pollard gives back in kind.

During the chase, Qalandars just couldn’t string together a partnership, as Sheldon Cottrell got 3/20, while Usama Mir took two wickets. Kieron Pollard also picked one scalp, that of Sikandar Raza, as Shaheen and co. were bundled out for 76 runs in 14.3 overs.
