SA was bowled out for 326 runs, giving them a 161-run lead over England's 1st inns total of 165.
It happened in the 78th over of the South African innings which was bowled by Matthew Potts. Kagiso Rabada tried to hoick a short ball over the mid-on fielder. Though the ball looked to be going over Stuart Broad’s head, the veteran pacer made a huge leap in the air, extending his right hand to pluck the ball out of thin air.
Broad completed the catch and tumbled on the ground with Potts and England captain Ben Stokes rushing to celebrate the wicket with him.

Meanwhile, South Africa managed to earn a 161-run lead over England’s first innings total of 165. South Africa was bowled out for 326 runs with Sarel Erwee top-scoring with 73. However, there was a huge contribution from the lower order as well, as Marco Jansen made 48, Keshav Maharaj made 41 and Anrich Nortje contributed 28*.
For England, Stuart Broad (3/71) and Ben Stokes (3/71) were the main wicket-takers with Matthew Potts also taking two scalps.
