Indian players are having a blast in the ongoing English County Championship as Cheteshwar Pujara made his county captaincy debut for Sussex an amazing one, while Washington Sundar and Navdeep Saini also shined in their debut matches for Lancashire and Kent respectively.

Navdeep Saini, playing for Kent, picked 5/72 as his county managed to keep Warwickshire to 225 in response to their 165 in the first innings. For Warwickshire, Sam Hain made 99, while skipper Will Rhodes made 32 and Danny Briggs made 20.

Apart from Saini, Matt Henry took 2/63, while Matt Milnes took 3/41.

Washington Sundar, on the other hand, took 5/76 for Lancashire on his county debut, as they restricted Northamptonshire to 235 runs. Luke Wood took 3/34 and Will Williams took 2/27. Unfortunately, Sundar couldn’t do much with the bat, as he was dismissed for 2 runs by Jack White.

However, the star for the Indian contingent in the county championship remained Cheteshwar Pujara who made his Sussex County captaincy debut memorable by slamming his 3rd double ton in the ongoing season and 16th overall, in the ongoing match against Middlesex.
