Dhoni was seen speaking to Pakistan cricketers after the T20 World Cup clash.
Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf expressed his joy on Twitter after receiving a signed jersey from former Indian captain MS Dhoni.
Haris is considered among the fastest bowlers in the world currently with his ability to clock speeds above 150 kmph quite consistently. He has so far taken 41 and 14 wickets in 34 T20Is and 8 ODIs respectively.
In the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup in UAE, Rauf took 8 wickets from 6 matches and impressed everyone with his raw pace as Pakistan bowed out of the tournament in the semi-finals.
With Pakistan and India clashing in the Super 12s, it was a rare opportunity for cricketers from both sides to interact with each other as the arch-rivals don't play each other outside the ICC and ACC events. Pakistan outplayed and hammered India by 10 wickets to record their first-ever win over the neighbors in a World Cup match.

After the high intensity encounter, Indian captain Virat Kohli and mentor MS Dhoni were seen in conversation with Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik and other Pakistani cricketers. Rauf it seems took the opportunity to ask Dhoni for a jersey and the former wicketkeeper-batter has fulfilled the request of the fast bowler.
Rauf on Friday (January 7), shared pictures of a signed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey which has been gifted to him by MS Dhoni, who leads the franchise in Indian Premier League (IPL). He also thanked the legendary cricketer and CSK team manager Russell for his support.
The Pakistan pacer wrote, "The legend & capt cool @msdhoni has honored me with this beautiful gift his shirt. The "7" still winning hearts through his kind & goodwill gestures. @russcsk specially Thank you so much for kind support."
Russell quoted the tweet and wrote, "When our captain @msdhoni promises he delivers , glad you love it champ #whistlepodu @ChennaiIPL"
