Sanjay Manjrekar was not happy to see the bike riders not following traffic rules.
Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar took to Twitter to spread road safety awareness. He shared a video of a few bikers riding on the wrong side of a one-way street.
Apart from riding on the wrong side, the bikers were also not wearing a helmet and Manjrekar said it's 'sadly accepted as right in our city'. He tagged Mumbai traffic in his tweet as well.
Sharing the video on Twitter, he captioned, "A wrong that we have sadly accepted as right in our city. @mumbaitraffic #RoadSafety #SaveLives".
Not the first time a cricketer has raised voice against road safety offenders. Earlier, India cricket great Sachin Tendulkar had posted videos of bike riders and pillion not wearing a helmet. The video had gone viral on social media.
Tendulkar was also part of the Road Safety World Series cricket tournament. It was organized by the Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra to raise awareness about road safety. The tournament featured teams from India, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Australia, and Bangladesh.
