Former Indian cricketers Wasim Jaffer and VVS Laxman took to their Twitter handle and lauded English wicketkeeper Ben Foakes for his brilliant glove work on day 3 of the ongoing second Test match between India and England.
It was a dream start for the England cricket team as the visitors on account of wicketkeeper Ben Foakes took six Indian wickets in the first session and left hosts tumbling at 156/6 at lunch on day 3.
The wicketkeeper impressed everyone with his glovework as he stumped both Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant and completed the run out of rock-solid Cheteshwar Pujara.

Addressing Ben Foakes’s stunning glovework behind the stumps former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer was impressed with wicket keeping skill of Fokaes and said that he has never seen many overseas keepers keeping so well in Indian conditions for so long.
“Impressed with wicket-keeping skills of Ben Foakes. To concede 0 byes in the first innings in challenging conditions is superb. Soft hands, clean collection, fast to dislodge stumps. Not seen many overseas keepers keep so well here for a long time. #INDvsENG,” Wasim Jaffer Tweeted.
Prior to Wasim Jaffer, former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman was also impressed with the wicket keeping skills of Ben Foakes and said that Foakes is the best overseas wicketkeeper he has ever seen for a long time.
“Ben Foakes has been excellent behind the stumps in this test. He is best overseas wicket-keeper I have seen for a long time. Very strong fundamentals, great hands and excellent technique. More importantly very good body language. #INDvEND @StarSportsIndia,” VVS Laxman Tweeted.
