Rohit had abused Pujara for not taking a quick single during 1st Test against South Africa last year.
However, when some are batting with Cheteshwar Pujara, his partner needs to push Pujara to take those close and risky singles and doubles in order to keep the scoreboard ticking. Something similar was seen when India was playing South Africa in a Test series recently.
Ritika Sajdeh reminds Yuzvendra Chahal of something in his birthday wish for Rohit Sharma
During the fourth day of the first Test between the two sides, Rohit was looking to score runs on every opportunity and during one such moment, he called his non-striker Pujara for a quick run. Not known for his swiftness, Pujara, who is the only Indian to be run out in both innings of a Test match, didn’t respond in a timely manner.
This led to Rohit shouting ‘Puji bhaag bh****od’ and it became a rage across the nation with the video being played multiple times.
Therefore when Pujara wished Rohit Sharma on his 33rd birthday on April 30, the Mumbaikar took a chance to pull his leg and replied while thanking him for his wishes, “Thanks puji bro. Bhaag puji puji bhaag”
