Mahlokwana plays for Cape Town Blitz in the MSL 2019.
Mahlokwana, who bowls left-arm orthodox or right-arm off-spin, was purchased for R100,000 in round 12 by the Blitz in the players’ draft. “For me, it’s about the skill the player brings and the responsibility that he has been tasked with in the past. Bowling for the Titans at SuperSport Park, it’s a tough ground to bowl at. He bowls in the powerplay and his economy rate is quite good,” said Prince.
“It’s more the skill and also the responsibility the player has had to shoulder before, which indicates that he is up to the challenge. That was what drew us towards him. Bowling in the middle overs is different from bowling at the start, and he’s done that successfully in the past, which is sort of the valuable experience we were looking for,” he further added.

He had made his debut for Titans in the 2018-19 season and played in the CSA T20 Challenge and One-Day Cup. His Titans’ head coach Mark Boucher praised his abilities and had said, “He uses both his arms‚ which is a rarity‚ and he is something special. In the past‚ the Titans have produced international players but we have not produced enough young players and he is one of the few young players who will be given a chance to prove themselves. We are excited about him and he is something of a secret weapon.”
