In the second innings, Shaw hammered 222 runs in 156 balls with 29 fours and five sixes. His double-ton came off just 141 balls, making it the second-fastest double-ton in the Ranji Trophy Elite group and the third-fastest overall. Gaikwad made 36*, and Maharashtra posted 359/3d, setting Chandigarh a target of 464 runs.
Chandigarh could only manage 319 runs, with Arjun Azad scoring 168 runs. For Maharashtra, Mukesh Choudhary and Ramakrishna Ghosh took four wickets each as their team won by 144 runs.
Despite Shaw's performance, teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad was named Player of the Match for his century in the first innings. Gaikwad then made a nice gesture by sharing his Player of the Match award with Shaw.
