WATCH- Batter's stumps get shattered by Kuldeep Yadav’s magic delivery; Indian spinner takes 10 wickets for Yorkshire

Yokrshire's Kuldeep Yadav picked 10/120 including 6 wickets in second innings against Essex

Kuldeep Yadav is having a very good time in English County Cricket for Yorkshire, as he helped his team defeat Essex by an innings and 106 runs. This game was played at Headingley in Leeds and saw Yorkshire captain Jonny Bairstow win the toss and bat first.

Adam Lyth and William Luxton made fifties, while Matthew Revis (61) and Dom Bess (80*) powered Yorkshire to 390 runs in the first innings. Kuldeep Yadav then weaved the magic of his wrist-spin, taking 4/70 in the Essex first innings, where George Bell’s fifty helped Essex make 171 runs.

Essex was asked to follow on by Bairstow, and Kuldeep Yadav starred once more with 6/50 in his 16 overs. His mastery with the wrist spin proved too good for Essex batters to counter. One such batter was Zaman Akhter, who tried to take a huge risk by leaving his delivery.

Kuldeep Yadav was bowling from around the wicket and went wide of the crease, bowling a good-length ball wide outside off stump in the rough. Akhter saw the ball being bowled wide and anticipated that it would safely go past the off-stump. However, he didn’t know how much Kuldeep Yadav could spin the ball.

The ball pitched outside the off-stump in a rough spot and, as the batter shouldered his arms, clattered into the off and middle stumps. The batter could only go back to the hut dejected.

Kuldeep Yadav showed that once the team management shows confidence in him and backs him, he can do wonders for the team. He picked up 10/120 for Yorkshire, as Essex folded for 113 runs in the second innings and lost the game by an innings.

This would be a huge confidence booster for Kuldeep Yadav, who was recently benched by the Indian team for the two tests in Sri Lanka. Kuldeep Yadav was also not picked for the upcoming Afghanistan T20Is and the Asian Games 2026.
