India will play two T20Is against Ireland and then five T20Is against England.
India is scheduled to play two T20Is in Ireland this weekend (June 26 and 28), before heading over to England for a five-match T20I series starting July 1, which three ODIs will follow. Shreyas Iyer will make his India T20I captaincy debut on the tour as well.
Meanwhile, after a sensational IPL 2026 season, where Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 776 runs with one century and 5 fifties and a strike rate of 237.50. He also hit a record-setting 72 sixes in this season, breaking Chris Gayle’s record.
His exploits for Rajasthan Royals in two IPL seasons and for India U19 in the recent Youth World Cup, where he scored 175 in the final, to help the Indian team win the title, led to Sooryavanshi getting his maiden India call-up.
“It’s difficult to express in words. The reason I first picked up a bat and started practising at a cricket ground was to one day wear the India jersey, and that dream has come true today. It feels unreal," Sooryavanshi said in a BCCI video.
Additionally, he disclosed that the mere sight of the national jersey elicited an unprecedented emotional response.
“I simply cannot explain this feeling in words. It feels like a dream. The moment I saw the jersey, I was so happy. I couldn’t stop smiling. Sometimes, things happen in your life that you never even imagined, and when they do, you are unable to react. That was exactly my reaction," he added.
