SL v IND 2021: WATCH- Hardik Pandya seemingly sings the Sri Lankan national anthem

Sri Lanka is bowling first after winning the toss.

India and Sri Lanka are clashing in the first T20I of the three-match series on July 25, 2021, Sunday at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first to take advantage of the grass and dampness of the pitch.

Meanwhile, India handed T20I debuts to Prithvi Shaw and Varun Chakravarthy, while Sri Lanka also had a couple of debutants in Chamika Karunaratne and Charith Asalanka.

Something interesting was seen when the two teams lined up for the national anthems, the home side anthem was played second and the cameras captured the Sri Lankan players singing their national anthem with pride.

However, a keen-eyed Twitter user shared a video in which even Hardik Pandya is seen mouthing the words to the Sri Lankan national anthem and captioned his post saying, “Is it just me that saw @hardikpandya7 singing the SL national anthem, then?”

Meanwhile Dushmantha Chameera gave Sri Lanka the best possible start, picking up the wicket of debutant Prithvi Shaw on the very first ball of the match. Shaw became the second Indian to get out on the first ball of a T20I match after KL Rahul.
